Testimonials

Pause for a Cause has supported Beyond Social Services since 2017 for our various events such as flag day and our annual fundraising carnival, Fairground for All. Their volunteers have been especially helpful to encourage the support of the public. Their outgoing and colorful characters have enabled us to attract the attention of the public to find out more about the organisation and the work we do. We are grateful for the continuous friendship with Pause for a Cause in helping us raise awareness and funds to keep doing the work we do and we look forward to more collaborations in the future.

Pause for a Cause (PFAC) is a wonderful initiative and the idea is pure but brilliant - a group of cosplayers dressing up as superheroes with the hope of bringing cheer to those who need a little pick me up.

The Achievers had worked with PFAC and they are spontaneous, easy-going and most importantly compassionate. They brought joy to not only the beneficiaries but also to the volunteers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank PFAC for accepting our invitation time and time again and for the team's efforts to uplift the lives of our special friends.

Letter of Commendation from Bright Vision Hospital for PFAC

Dear PFAC

Thanks for volunteering in the garden by the bay event organized for Rainbow Centre on 19 Oct.

Your team gave an overwhelming response of 10 cosplay members wanting to engage the special needs community. Due to resource constraint, we could only accept 5. And your team still showed up.

Thanks (for having) cosplay as part of this event. You have turned a garden tour into a surprise for kids.

All the best to your mission PFAC!

I believe Pause For A Cause (PFAC) has a winning formula! This is evident in several successful fundraising initiatives in support of Mercy Relief disaster reliefs. By having cosplayers participating in street fundraising, PFAC has succeeded in getting the public to PAUSE for a moment, learn more about Mercy Relief’s humanitarian CAUSE! Thank you Pause For a Cause!

It was a wonderful experience working with the Pause for A Cause team for our first cosplay fund raising event at Orchard during the festive season last year. Jacen and his team were really helpful and we had really liked the fact that they had tapped onto their experiences to guide us on a good plan in making the event a great success. Not to mention, they have a variety of amazing costumes which were beautifully made.

We would certainly recommend working with Pause for A Cause for your next charity event and Causes for Animals (Singapore) certainly look forward to our next opportunity to work together with them again.

 Letter of commendation from KKH

Dear Jacen

We would like to express our deepest appreciation for the whole-hearted support that Pause For A Cause (PFAC) and you, personally, have extended to the KKH Ward Entertainment Volunteering Programme!

Over the past two years, visits to the hospital by PFAC volunteers in their costumes have not only spread cheer and laughter among numerous patients and their caregivers, but also brought smiles to the faces of our staff, as they work to help our patients recover from illnesses. The joy in seeing children forget their pain and illness, even if for a moment, to pose with their favorite characters; and excited parents snap away on their cameras to capture pleasant memories, is indescribable and invaluable.

There is little our patients can do to thank PFAC and you for selflessly contributing to improving their healing journey, so on behalf of the patients and KKH, we thank you and PFAC and look forward to your visits for many years to come!

Yours sincerely,
